    About

Uechi-Ryu is a traditional style of Okinawan karate. it was brought to Japan from China by Kanbun Uechi. A blend of tiger, dragon, and crane styles of Kung Fu. Uechi-Ryu is known to incorporate a half hard, half-soft method of self-defense.
The style does not demand a certain level of physical fitness or age as techniques are not dependent on brute force. At east West Karate we teach each student at their own level as they learn the proper body mechanics and techniques needed to excel.
